"On October 9 I was hit while I was stopped at a red light. I was in a little Mazda six and it was a Toyota Tacoma that got me. I was OK or I thought I was. After getting back to my office about an hour later my neck and shoulders started to have spasms. Didn’t know what to do so I called my friend/divorce attorney's office and they referred me to a personal injury physician. I went the same day ends nothing was really done and I didn’t really get an exam. He just mildly touched my shoulders and told me they were tight Then proceeded to prescribe me something for inflammation and pain meds. I explain to the doctor that I was not interested in pain medicine. I will hypersensitive. To which he replied, “just take half then.” I was rather disappointed but I thought maybe I just needed to give them a chance. I went back the following Wednesday and had the most horrendous experience. My neck was hurting but I refused to take narcotics for it. I didn’t want a Band-Aid I wanted to fix it. Therapy seemed promising. I went in and I was told to use these rubber bands and pull back on them for 10 minutes followed by laying my head on this giant ball with my forehead touching it and move my head up and down to stretch my neck for 10 minutes. The lady said she would be back when I was done and the pain was excruciating. She came back to put me on a bed, which I now know as a traction machine, She did not warn me that there was a giant indent in the middle so when I got in I fell backwards and hurt my neck further and all she said was “you okay?” I didn’t feel anything rolling on my back. I got up when the timer went off and I was virtually in tears from the pain. I was to hold it all in.

Driving back to my office I broke down and couldn’t take it. I had no idea what to do and I started to think I should call another chiropractor and see if I could get help. I called your Westside office and told them what happened. They put me on the phone with Dr. O’Leary and he explained to me that everything that occurred was done improperly and told me he would get me in right away to see if he could help the pain. He got me in immediately and had me lay down and Use the massager on my neck and push some spots and about 45 to 60 seconds later I felt pain relief!

Words cannot describe how extraordinary it was to walk in with tears and walk out able to finish my day. I knew at that moment I came to the right place. Your staff is friendly, caring, and compassionate. Dr. O’Leary is simply amazing. I’ve had really great days and really painful days, which he did say would happen, but he listens to how I feel and where it hurts. I’m never pressured into doing exercises that are uncomfortable nor am I pressured into doing certain therapies. I explained all these weird symptoms I was having to Dr. O’Leary and I felt like I was throwing a new one at him every day and that maybe I was overreacting but he reassured me that those are side effects from my neck and he believed that I had a herniated disc and explained how that affects my shoulders and everything else. He sent me for an MRI and once he got the results he thoroughly explained my diagnosis. As it turns out, I have three herniated discs. All of the pain and symptoms were not my imagination. I felt a little stunned by the results but relieved as well.

Dr. O’Leary has been the most amazing chiropractor and one of the most compassionate doctors I’ve ever met in my entire life. I am a single mother with four children and I am the only source of income. If I don’t work then we lose everything. So, you can only imagine how frightening all of this was for me. My career and the well-being of my children were literally on the line. This is more than a thank you to your office, your staff, and Dr. O’Leary, this is a teary-eyed, thank you from the bottom of my soul. Even now, it doesn’t feel like those words are enough to accurately convey my gratitude. People that know I’ve been in an accident know my MRI results and ask how on earth I’m not in pain without meds. With great pleasure, I tell them what happened and I let them know how extraordinary my experience has been at your Westside office. I’m sorry this is so long and I could probably go on for another 12 paragraphs lol. I just really wanted you to know how eternally grateful I am. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
